The KGP-1B base station modem is equipped with required logic for controlling
communications between the base
station and mobile units.
The KGP-1A mobile GPS receiver-modem unit is equipped with its
own GPS receiver and modem, this is controlled by a microprocessor
using a unique protocol. The unit complies with MIL-SPEC standards
for resistance to vibration, shock, and dust.
